National Homelessness Week (4-10 August)
The Barwon and South West Homelessness Network (BSWHN) is part of the Houses at Parliament Homelessness Week campaign with three weeks to go has already folded 22,044 paper houses. Below is all the info you need to get folding. This is a Victoria-wide campaign so join with us and our colleagues around the Victorian in the call for more public and community housing to end homelessness and a national plan to end homelessness.
Houses at Parliament- let me know what you have planned?
If you are planning a display or event for Homelessness Week in the Barwon or South West region, let me know- this includes homelessness services, community support services, community centres, local councils and libraries, op shops and neighbourhood houses. Any display or event, no matter how big or small. The BSWHN can promote your event and support where possible.
All the resources you need are on the Victorian Homelessness Network – Houses at Parliament. These include a campaign kit, a school kit, social media post ideas, posters, video’s from previous events and instructions on how to fold paper houses. Take a photo of your house and share it on social media. You can buy stickers, t-shirts, hats and more through the VHN website.
