THE Turnbull government is set to scrap a national affordable housing scheme (agreement?) after it failed to deliver any meaningful outcomes to ease Australia’s housing crisis.

Yarra Community Housing officially merged with Urban Communities and are now called Unison – just Unison, not Unison Housing etc – so if you hear anyone enquiring about Unison please refer them to me, & if anyone mentions Yarra Housing please advise them that we are now Unison.
The National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness provides essential Commonwealth funding matched by all of the States and Territories. In Barwon South West the funding provides a range of support services for women escaping family violence, for people to prevent eviction, to young people leaving care, housing and health programs. Please help us ensure the Commonwealth Government are aware of the importance of this funding to our region.
The success and innovation of the Geelong Project is being noticed and replicated in South Australia.
As many of you will know, the www.askizzy.com.au website was developed by Infoxhange as a phone app to assist people experiencing homelessness to find local services. Obviously this service can assist anyone to find services in their area, not just those experiencing homelessness. I am working with the developers of the app to assist them ensure that the information is correct and appropriate.
