DRAFT HIGHTON VILLAGE URBAN DESIGN FRAMEWORK – OPEN FOR CONSULTATION

We have developed an exciting proposal for a new public plaza in Belle Vue Avenue, Highton that includes more trees and greenery, new seating, a play area, and space for street-trading and public events.This project has been developed with community input – through a design workshop held in November 2016, attended by 130 residents and traders.

The Geelong Seniors Festival is an annual community event held throughout October designed to promote opportunities in the community for older people to develop networks, explore new interests and access useful information.

COLAC TO HOST FORTNIGHTLY SHEEP SALES FROM 18 SEPTEMBER 2017

Colac Otway Shire Council has worked with the City of Greater Geelong and Surf Coast Shire Council to introduce a new service for the region’s sheep farmers, including peri-urban farmers, following the permanent closure of the Geelong Saleyards at the end of August 2017.

The fortnightly sheep and lamb sale will start at 10.00am, with animal receipt taking place between 3.00pm and 6.00pm on the Sunday prior to the sale, or between 7.00am and 9.00am on sale day.
