Wellways are offering training sessions free of charge for people in the community that have a lived experience of mental health issues who would like to get involved in facilitating educational workshops or presenting to community groups.
We are looking for two groups of people: facilitators and speakers.
Facilitators - we are looking for between 8-10 people in the Barwon and Grampians region who have the interest and skills to facilitate workshops on mental health and inclusion and who can attend a 3 day training program.
Speakers - we are also looking for 8-10 people Barwon and Grampians region who are interested in sharing their story of recovery with community groups and can attend 5 days training on presenting stories to public audiences.
This an ILC project, funded by the NDIA. Once facilitators and speakers have been trained and accredited there is funding available to deliver workshops/presentations to community groups in the Barwon and Grampians region.
